Kevin McIlvoy
Kevin McIlvoy is an American writer and the former Editor in Chief of the acclaimed literary magazine ''Puerto del Sol''.〔THE FIFTH STATION by Kevin McIlvoy, Los Angeles Times - Oct 29, 1989.
(McIlvoy ) writes about hard times in the mill towns of Middle America and how the decline of the steel industry affects three brothers....〕 His novels include ''The Fifth Station'' (1987,
1989), ''Little Peg'' (1991), and ''Hyssop'' (1998, 1999). His short stories, collected in ''The Complete History of New Mexico'' (2005), have appeared in such nationally-acclaimed literary journals as The Southern Review,Ploughshares, TriQuarterly, Chelsea and The Paris Review. He retired as a Professor in the English Department at New Mexico State University and currently teaches the creative writing program at Warren Wilson College.
